Just wondered if anybody knows if insurance companies offer a discount of for CTR drivers who have completed the MAC training?? Would welcome any replies to this post!

well MORE THAN don't even recognise it, so no discount from them!

From most of the insurance companies I have dealt with, none recognise MAC courses unfortunately. I would be pleased to hear different however.

i doubt any insures would consider a discount for a MAC course acheiver.

The thing with a MAC course is that its a course, and not really a 'test'. I mean, Dorris could take a MAC course, yet be utterley crap, so it would not necessarily warrant her to be a safer driver in the eyes of an insurer!

Don't even think doing an advanced driver course gets you any insurance discount. Although I stand to be corrected if this is the case.

Doing either a Pass Plus or IAM test does bring your insurance down. I did the pass plus when I first past my test 4.5 years ago. My best mate has done the IAM thing and his insurance dropped too, but not by loads.

Think it makes less and less difference the older you get and the more NCB you have.
