I have just got off the phone with MAC and they are now saying that unless you are the first owner you are not eligable for the free MAC course.

I was gutted! It sounded like a really good course from reading the posts.

If you do still want to do it though it is worth it even if you have to pay a little to do it.

Search for Dave Bertie as I know he does it himself as well as for MAC, he comes on the forum so I would contact him as he was excellent

Hi, i bought my CTR pre registered so technicaly i am its second owner but as the first owner was the dealership do you think i would be able to go on the MAC course?

I purchesed the CTR pre-registered and did the MAC course last friday......certainly worth completing the course, a great day out, great weather, great roads and a great instructor

does it mean that because honda uk
is the first registered owner, I am not
entitled to a free mac course

The only way of knowing for sure if you are allowed/entitled to it is contact them and ask

I asked the dealer when I purchased it
and was told mac course finished in March
after reading the posts will be contacting
dealer asap

I bought a pre-registered 55 plate in July and had my MAC day on last friday, I guess the only real way of knowing is by contacting MAC themselves, if they get back to you with a MAC number someone will be contacting you in a couple of weeks time to sort a date out........well worth the effort, especially as its free!!

I have just rang MAC to see if the course has been taken against my 51 plate (a long shot I know).

Initially I was told that the was for 1st owners only, but when I pushed the issue he said he would check the database (a swift change of mind I think !!)

They are going to get back to me !!! Watch this space
