After some advice really , just removed and changed my steering rack slider, after fitting it all back , I realised I've not lined the splines on the steering colum up , so the steering wheel is of center, However I wanted to test drive to make sure the steerings ok and as soon as I moved the srs airbag light came on, I've plugged it in with my snap on modus and it's came up with "open or increased resistance in drivers airbag inflator" any ideas ? Thanks

I had the same issue yesterday. I fixed it doing this:

Under the wheel there is a fusebox. In that fusebox there is a yellow plug. Unplug this first. The following steps should be done with a paperclip inserted into the two connectors on this plug.
1. connect clip to yellow clip, turn key to position II
2. wait for the light to go off and remove the paper clip/wire.
3. As soon as the light turns back on, quickly connect the circuit again.
4. The light should turn back off. Remove the paperclip/wire again.
5. The light will wait a second or two before it tells you the follow word.
6. Final word is, 2 quick flashes and SRS light turns off completely.
6-A. two quick flashes and the light remains, you may be too slow or you have a short in your SRS somewhere.
7. turn off ignition and put back the plug back in

The 'clock spring' will only turn a few times each way. If it wasn't put on correctly you can damage it by turning it too far.
