Hello. Done a few bits to my Civic and no doubt more to come so thought I'd share with you guys.

I'm a vehicle technician specialising V.A.G, currently working for a VW and I'd had my fair share of the buggers. Previous was a Seat Ibiza diesel. Mapped up and some suspension tweeking it was a good car for 6 years! I do miss the clutch shredding torque and economy. But after a days work fixing the same old vdubs I got bored of fixing, modding and driving mine. Fancied a change so bought the Civic.

Bought in March 2013 with just under 47k miles on the clock. Totally standard apart from the premier seats. Considered keeping standard as it a fine example. But after wanting some track action, things changed.

My intentions was still to keep the car looking O.E but improve performance and keep it as my daily driver. Now I have a daily driver, it's turning into a more track focused car!

As the car stands:

Looks tidy pal, with good power ! shame about the big patch of paint that's come off the rocker! I'll be surprised if you manage to keep it looking oem though  is it a premier or just have prem seats as you haven't got rear tints ?

I'm trying my best to keep it oem look  I was a bit bummed that I had to fit an induction kit over the oem box. But it doesn't look that out of place.
It's not a premier. But the previous owner fitted the seats. Tbh I'm not keen on the tinted windows.

Thats a brucie bonus then those seats go for silly money ! Im in two minds about tints, I like the look of them bit have never owned a car with them fitted. l just cant keep a car standard, would be alot richer if I could

Summer is coming. Starting to prep the car for track days

Firstly this happened

Ordered these on my lunch monday and they arrived Tuesday morning. Excellent service from Meister R.

Ordered rack raiser bracket and jdm rear anti roll bar from tegiwa on my same lunch break. Tuesday email...

Can't say I'm impressed. Reckon they'll be with me Monday. Ordered some rear light seals a month or so ago and they took over a week to get.
Got new roll bar drop links. So hopefully next weekend I'll be able to get all fitted and do the geo.

Fitted all the suspension this weekend and set it all up. Lucky for me I have keys to my work so everything was available for me to do.
Everything went fairly smooth. One of the rear shock bolts was seized but with lots of lube and a big bar we got there. Cut the old drop links off as I couldn't be bothered to try and undo the seized bolts. Fitted the steering arm raiser bracket with the rack in place. Not too bad of a job, just don't do it with a hot exhaust!
Spent more time setting up and getting the ride height even. After driving around for a day it's already settled and dropped so it'll need a tweaking.
Grabbed a few snaps, comparison of the new and old parts ect.

I prefer the oem look cosmetically. hence why i've never done anything to mine in the 4 years of ownership other than rear de-wiper and removed "civic" badge and 30mm lower. the oem EP3 CTR in my opinion needs for nothing else cosmetically!!

I am usually shaking my head at a lot of the one's i see with trumped up aftermarket kits fitted and bits added on here and bits added on there, end's up looking like something you'd see in a circus with a clown behind the wheel.

I wouldn't mind a Mugen rear wing and possibly some wheels like rota grids for the track. But I know what you mean. I'm not a fan of the carbon look, or them silly tow hooks and stickers on the windows.
Some carbon panels would be nice for weight saving.... I'd paint them to match the car though!

Following this thread! Lovely car

I've got the same coilovers, same steering rack raiser and my JDM rear ARB just arrived from Tegiwa this afternoon.
Just waiting for new drop links and track rod ends then need to get my geo sorted

Cheers pal.
Think I'm going check and adjust the geo this weekend again. Since fitting it's moved around slightly where it's settled and I'm not 100% with the ride height. Going to increase the hight at the back slightly and drop it more on the front.

Front
Camber -1.5 deg
Toe 0mm

Rear
Camber -2.0 deg
Toe in 1mm

I had to put the top mounts into the positive camber position and use camber bolts to gain the negative camber as I was running out of thread on the track rod arms.

Argghhh yeah that's what I was afraid of :(
Thinking about trying to buy some of the shortened arms before I fit my new track rod ends

Small update. Been having a slight knock through the steering for a while, long before fitting the coilovers. Anyway decided to replace the steering rack slider to cure it.
It's easily done with the rack in place. Easier if you've got a rack raiser bracket as they're easier to remove. Probably took a total of 30-45 mins including re adjusting the tracking slightly.
Didn't take any photos but if anyone's interested I'll write up a step by step guide.
