I've been a member on here for quite a while now and after owning two Civics I have finally got myself a Type-R!

It started in 2008 when I got my first, a 2003 EP2 Sport..

in January 2010 I traded it in for a 2006 1.8 SE (5 door) after a couple of years and loads of mods went from this..

to this..

Now the new wip a 2007 Type-R GT. A beauty with just 29k on the clock and a tracker fitted I snapped it up!

Looks wise I'll be going for something similar to my old 5 door. Same wheels (unsure on colour), same 'poke' on the rear and same ride height. This will be via the 18x8J ET35 BBS CH, eibach 15mm rear spacers and ABP/eibach 30mm springs.

Now for some pics! at the dealer..

Picked the car up today and had a fantastic drive home. Loved it.

Mods waiting to go on the car (wheels will be refurbed first)

I'll probably be going for a similar colour, a lighter shade of grey...

Image

New caps needed (no blue here!) chrome, red & black..

Image

Eibach rear spacers..

Image

Eibach springs...a new set but the same as i had on the 5 door, ABP Motorsport's lower 30mm version of the Eibach spring.

Image

the obligatory red H keyfob cover..

I will keep this updated as i go!

Alright matey seen ur old car on civinfo a few times, ur old blue car looked well. I would keep the wheels the same colour as grey rims really suit the Milano. I have grey rims on mine and they really look great on.

Here is a pic of mine with gunmetal rims and Eibach pro kit springs

Yeah I've seen yours too, looks great on those rims! They fill those big arches nicely! [smilie=karls_thumb.gif]

I had a few moments of 'shall i do them back silver' but grey is more me!

The headlights were done with fly eyes film. Its like a mesh film with loads of holes in it which means you don't lose any light. And they pass an MOT.

I'm considering doing that again, obviously do the fogs aswell this time!

I sprayed the indicator lenses though with tint spray.

A couple of shots of of the new red and chrome centre caps ..

Really can't wait to get the wheels on the car now. Must resist until they are refurbed!

Finally looking a bit more 'me'!

BBS refurbed in Aston Martin Tungsten grey and ABP Eibachs fitted.. other little changes include fly eyes on the headlights, fogs and side repeaters, red wheel nuts and a bit of carbon trimming.

These first batch of pics are with the eibach rear spacers fitted. Same as i had on the 1.8. I didn't factor in that the Type-R has a wider rear track. So with an 18x8j wheel with an ET35 offset the spacers were not going to work on this car. You can see they stick out a bit. They foul the arch and the tread protrudes..

So........off come the rear spacers and it sits so much better. Almost identical to my 1.8 WITH spacers and the same wheels..

And to compare, this was a couple of days ago when i fitted the rear spacers with the R wheels. Better than standard but still not quite the same as the BBS..

carbon b pillers..

had a bit left so did the wipers lol!

looks good on the BBS's [smilie=karls_thumb.gif]
a fast road set up to make the most of the lowering is a good idea, had mine done at TGM and it transformed the cars handling. my OCD-clean side kicking in here, get some Autosol on the tailpipes :D

Oh don't get me started on the tailpipes! I used to use autoglym metal polish on my old ones but i have none left. I think these need something stronger though. They are letting the car down!

FRS is on the list!
