Hi all,

Posted a bit of this in the newbies section, but thought I'd start a thread here to keep track of the bits I'll be doing to my car.

Bought my standard Premier Edition EP3 about 10 months ago and I love it. It has Honda Sat Nav over and above the Prem extras (Recaros, Momo steering wheel, logo'd calipers, you guys already know this...), and had FSH, air con, 55K and a two year Honda warranty.

Here are some pics:

Since buying the car I've put Bridgestone Potenzas on all round, new rear OEM discs and pads and had the air conditioning fixed under warranty, to get it back to OEM standards.

I do a lot of mileage for work, so am going to hold off on any engine and exhaust mods as I need to keep the mpg sort of respectable and don't want to be given headaches on the motorway either!

I have done a few cosmetic things, as I do love a bit of JDM action.

Managed to find JDM mats in amazing condition on here. As you can see they're pretty much new and the price was right (photos from original seller):

And fitted (iPhone pics from here, so not best quality):

Next I ordered a new JDM Union Jack from Funky Power:

Genuine Mugen oil cap, again a bargain from the sale section on here. Few scuffs but nothing major and better than paying Mugen prices!

The car passed its MOT yesterday, with just one advisory. However the advisory is for a sticking front o/s caliper. On the drive home, the driver's side started making a noise (which has thankfully stopped today) but definitely time to look for a change. So the next upgrade will either be Spoon EP3 or Mugen FN2 calipers, again second hand bargain I'm thinking - I'm on the lookout!

Thanks for looking, hope you like it so far.

Cheers

Haha. Mate, the two things I listed in my newbie post to do to the car were GruppeM and JDM mats. Have looked at yours a few times and it's been made even worse that its not been snapped up yet.

I've gotta be realistic though and calipers have to come first, plus unsure if it'd be too droney on motorways.

+1 for effort though and GLWTS :salut:

Sorry Salem, was looking on my phone and must've scrolled past your message - nothing personal, promise!

I'm in Cardiff mate. Hadn't planned to go to any shows until I had done a bit more to my car tbh, but I'll take a look at JapFest and see if it takes my fancy.

Come along to Japfest, meeting at Magor services...
Ah I'm away on a stag do that weekend. Let me know if you're planning a run at Llandow though, think it'd be a good way to break the CTR into some track action.

Dont be silly its good to have a mix from standard to light modded to heavily modded and its also a great way to meet up with people and see what others have done ;) if you cant make japfest there is alway the action days ;)

Small update. Again, all little things to add some cool touches.

Some Rays valve caps

A bit of Jazz washer action. I've seen so many people raving about these but was a little dubious as to whether the improvement would be as much as people said. Now I've fitted them, I can also join the club in saying they're awesome - much better than standard.

Last up some door sills from Rigsby01, which look lovely and add yet more Type R logos to the car (in case I forget what I'm driving  )

Next plans are slightly bigger - to make the odd track day feasible - but with the car being a daily driver still very much in mind. Basically I'm looking to stop better as the brakes have been the one part I've not been massively impressed by:

Spoon calipers (and 3mm wheel spacers to fit)
Project Mu HC+ front pads
HEL braided brake lines
Spoon progressive springs

Not a long list, but a scarily priced one. The calipers will most definitely be second hand - no way I'm paying full price! Will look to get all the bits first and pay one fee for all the fitting, so that'll be this thread disappearing for a few months!
