No collars are tight. Seems to be in the damper body. I have spoken to our Bc rep, he didn't really want to know. Just said I could pay to have them rebuilt. I'm just going to wait and get ohlins or nitron I think.
Ahh, same issue I had. I went with buddyclubs pretty much straight away.

Fantastic build, car looks brilliant.

Who makes the log manifold, saw your original one was a HKS one but what about the top mounted one?

Do you have any issues with the amount of heat building up in a log manifold or is it ok at sensible boost levels?

A friend of mine got it for me from abroad. I have made some heat proofing for the steering rack wires and a few other things. When I go for more power I'm going to have to vent the bonnet I think. It's only really track day temps that are high. Never gets high on the road.

Edit: just seen you said heat inside the manifold. Looks to be ok at the moment. Been nearly a year now with no problems. I have an egt which I'm yet to install.

Cheers, thanks for the response. :bigthumb:

No pics yet. But I have been busy. Got myself a set of ohlins 3 ways, a spare gearbox with a drexler plate diff and a rollcage.

Starting to feel like this car is really coming along now. Can't wait for the weather to get better so I can turn the boost up.

Ive been buying bits again, and started getting it ready for our nurburgring trip at the end of August.

Got the ohlins 3 ways on and canisters mounted.

Also bought a new manifold and will be buying a new turbo to go with it.

Also to be fitted before I go to the ring,

I have spherical bearing wishbone bushes, ported oil pump, new inlet manifold that I have modified to fit a DBW throttle body, and a load of other service items like rear discs, gear oil change, check diff preload etc. Hopefully more updates soon.

Right, its a miracle. Ive actually made some progress on my car.

Got all of my turbo setup made, ceramic coated and fitted, a bit of wiring for some new sensors and a couple of hours of mapping later and we are 417bhp.

Had to limit it to 1.2bar of boost as my fuel system is maxed out (uprated intank pump, but only using the stock reg, returnless and not rising rate with 750cc injectors)

will be good for when i go to the ring next weekend, feels fast on the road, and no where near as strangled at the top end of the revs.

Here is some media to support the above statements.
