I did aye, was told by another specialist that my syncros were fecked, worst he had seen, Stevie opened it up and saw that they were mint but I had already bought the full set of syncros so smashed em in anyway
Interesting , were you getting a crunch from cold? Mine only does it untill it's up to temp.

No when I was getting crunches it was only when changing at high revs, so of course the engine would have been warmed up before the vtecs, but it did crunch a little going into reverse

New clutch sorted both

Yeah I was looking at either changing the hose from grey to black or getting rid, but then I was concerned that with all the short journeys I do it'll make it even worse for the engine (not heating up as quick) - does it make much of a difference to the warm up speed?

Also going to fit a breather filter instead of the hose back into the GruppeM, should tidy it up a bit more

Been without the car since 31st December  starting making a funny clicking noise, got louder very quickly, turned into a loud knocking at slow speed together with jolting like something was catching every revolution, flatbed lorry time to the local garage

The garage couldn't look at it till the following week and suspected the gearbox when they did, so it was off with that and it was sent up to Stevie at Grinspeed. Despite it arriving at Stevie's without much notice, he took a quick look at it the day it came in and found a few missing teeth from the pinion

Stevie's never seen it before, I'm not running big power and it's always had an easy life :liar:

So warranty replacement smashed in and the box was sent along it merry way back to sunny Newport, fitted today, picked up the car this evening, boom!

Probably going to be down £5-600 for my troubles, but both Stevie at Grinspeed and the guys at Osaka have been fantastic

For one week I had use of our "shared" POS van that we use for uplifting the bikes occasionally, it struggles to get to 30 most days but on one of the days that it did I encountered a camera van :bad-words: now the irony is not lost on me here in the fact that I've had the "boy racer" car neigh on five years now and not had a ticket, but I get in this old french smoky pos and get done at 38, funny thing was I saw it and eased up what I thought was enough then looked down to check and the speedo wasn't working!

Nope, everything else in the box was fine, must have been design or manufacturing fault, funnily enough shortly after I had it fitted they released a new and improved version, stating how much stronger and efficient it was? They've asked for it back to 'inspect'
