New Cosmic ep3 from page 4

My uncle bought this civic in 2005 and has been the only owner until now. I have always loved it when he owned it and now it is mine :-D
He is now a family man and decided it was not suitable anymore. now its sitting on my drive.

So here is a list of the mods:

Gruppe M carbon fibre air intake
Black SFS hose
DC sports manifold
Scorpion silenced b pipe
Scorpion 6x4 oval backbox

Handling
Meister r zeta r coilovers
D2 adjustable rear camber arms
FRSU at revolution motorsport
17' rota slipstream's
Toyo t1r tires 415/45/17
Muteki lightweight open wheel lugs
Brembo front discs with mintex
Oem rear discs with mintex pads

Audio
Pioneer DEH-P700BT headunit
Pioneer door and rear speakers
Pioneer tweeters 2 up front and 2 in the rear
Vibe monobox subwoofer with built in amplifier
Genesis profile four amplifier

Styling
Front foglights
Retrimmed leather 'powered by Honda' facelift seats
Silvatec bulbs in rear lights
Bosch aero wipers
LED number plates bulbs
LED firelight bulbs
Type r mats
Richbrook type r tax disc holder
+10hp civictype-r.co.uk stickers
Team heko wind deflectors
Leather with red stitching gear gaitor
Jazz washer jets

Thats all that at the minute.
He has also fitted mud flaps to the front and rear, they are quite chewed up and need replacing/removing, I know they will not be to everyones taste but they were fitted to help prevent stonechips damaging the paintwork and it has helped because the bodywork is in great condition.

Since I got it on new years eve I have never stopped driving it and i'm even making up excuses just to go out driving in it
vtec is definately addictive and from the exhaust the sound in the higher rev range sounds incredible, I just can't get enough of it.

here is a few pictures of her

Hi mate, and welcome :salut: Looks like a pretty clean example. To give you my honest opinion I would personally agree that it just doesn't look right with the back that low; front looks ok however. It looks like whatever springs are on it have sagged big time, and i'd be suprised if there was any travel left in the oem shocks at that height. Plus i'd definetly loose the mud flaps also. Just being honest so don't take offence as I don't mean it that way

Seats are unusual; are they what came in the car from Honda? I used to have full leather facelift interior also, but mine were different to what you have.

Oh, and you got the fastest colour BTW!

Thanks, yer my uncle told me if he was going to sell it private he was going to put some new springs on as he has had these springs on for a few years and looks alot lower than when they were first fitted. my uncle bought it from honda as a ex demonstrator car with a few hundred mile on so honda may have modified them for that purpose but I really like them, I like the colour and the detailing

Looks tidy that mate remove the mud flaps altogether ;). As for the ride height it looks cool but more show than go look lol. Coilovers are where it's at ;)

2 decats..? Or did DC make a 4-1 manifold..?

Dangerously low imo, are they tenzo springs..? Don't know of any spring kits that lower the car as much as that, must be 60mm minimum. Far too much for oem shocks.

Bodywork looks mint though, and never seen those seats before, your uncle must have had them embroidered by honda or honda did it beforehand as it was a demo car, either way....no-one else has them.

Love the seats, never seen embroided ones with red headrests. Car doesn't look right to me how it sit's far too low and must be a bitch on bumpy roads!

Im going to get some new springs after my holiday next month, to save doing any damage. I'm not too sure what make they are :???:
I will have a look through the history of the car and try to find out about the seats.

My mate leather seats had type r embroided and were just black, seen black n grey ones too. Reckon there the best leather trim ones i've seen for sure.

Get a decent set of springs and take the mudgaurds off. Will transform the car imo of course.

Well its now almost time for my mot and decided to have a check over the car. I have replaced both front droplinks as there was knocking coming from the front.

I also need some new discs and pads all around. After reading through the brake upgrade threads. I think i may be heading towards getting some oem discs from Honda with some ferodo pads for the front. With oem on the rear. Does this setup sound ok? Or I am also considering the £60 brembo discs with stoptech pads. I am looking to do some trackdays in the future and im sure both options will be good but im not sure which would suit best and what others prefer?

I just had a rear tyre replaced and while the tyre was off i noticed the rear passenger side coil spring had snapped. So i think its time to get some coilovers. I have been looking at meister-r coilovers. I've heard good reviews on them.
