Rain!!! :bad-words: Change of plans this week, leaving the sus. till next time i'm home. Arm's will take a good couple of days to blast and have the paint cure properly and with the car booked in for mapping on Friday it's not worth trying to squeeze it all in. Also want to get the front subframe blasted/coated but can't fit it in the old mans blasting rig. Think i'll just take it somewhere locally and have it powder coated.

Should have seats & steering wheel fitted this week along with a new fuel system. :cooldude: Need to take off the slam again for a minor bit of fettling as i'm getting a knock on hard shift. Not a big deal.

Odd one but any recommendations for an aftermarket alarm? Was thinking along the lines of a Clifford Concept 650? (CAT 1).

Delivery man came by today with new seats. Can't remember ordering a foot stool though...

Before and after cleaning along with removing half a forrest stage from underneath the cushions...

Was pretty chuffed with these, in excellent condition and thought i had a good deal already till i found this stuffed down the side...

Probably only worth about £15 in Scotland but better than nowt! [smilie=karls_thumb.gif]

Seats are pretty comfy. Reckon they're slightly wider than the Recaro SPA's i had in the scooby which ain't a bad thing although they do feel a lot heavier. The SPA's were ridiculously light though!

Hopefully the rails and Works Bell hub will turn up tomorrow to give me something to do.

Really can't see it being a problem - what is the wording that makes you think that they might not meet the regs?

Gauges mounted as per previous pics, viewing's actually fine. Revotech pods are shite if anyones thinking about getting them! Quite a lot of expletives came out of the car in the last hour. Really isn't a job for when the sun flip's off. Still need to fit some cable tidy and get a new nut for the one that went behind the dash somewhere. Anyway, both fitted with the AFR ready for hooking up tomorrow when the new ecu's fitted and mapped. Bye bye EML, hello horses. :-D

Well, didn't go as planned today getting it mapped. Slight oversight on the person that took the booking but a combination of not being booked in for long enough and them being v.busy ended up having the 440 inj's fitted and the AEM's now running a safe map. No point talking about the figures but suffice to say it's looking good for a healthy result.

Back to get it fully mapped in two and a bit weeks as i'm away for the next couple of weeks. At least that gives me time to fit the new fuel system, hook up the oil gauge and get the seats/wheel done! Never plain sailing but there's always light at the end of the tunnel! [smilie=karls_thumb.gif]

Bit of a shame about today mate but seems like you're really making progress! Gauges look great, how does the afr work, does the gauge always want to be in the middle to indicate the air/fueling is even? (sorry for the noob question!  )

In a nutshell....it replaces the std Lambda sensor with a wideband uego sensor. This gives a very accurate real time reading of the AFR. Running a wideband enables better mapping as its more accurate and faster responding. The gauge is the controller and sends the AFR reading to the ECU (EMS 2). The gauge, just like the oil temp/press. i'm running beside it, will give an early warning for something going tits up basically. With hillclimbing & sprints it's all short hard runs with a good bit of time in between so it's good to know everything's running as it should before and during. :bigthumb:

Had a couple of hours free this afternoon so got the wiring for the gauges tidied up and fitted the new steering wheel. Wheels nice, sit's closer than before which is good. Had the car out after and the feedback is far better than before. Better feel for what the front end is doing especially when cornering hard. Change of seats should help as well whenever the rails turn up! Only negative for the gauges is the AEM like's to reflect unlike the SPA which has some sort of coating to stop this. Otherwise pretty happy. [smilie=karls_thumb.gif]
