I personally think the oil filter came lose causing oil leak and starve they engine of oil.. Funny really because I checked they sandwich plate and oil filter about 30 minutes before I went out and it was bone dry, I also checked the dipstick numerous times throughout the day and it was to the top marker. I got 4 or 5 laps in after dinner but I did throughly enjoy the day how ever costly it has been.

Its dropped the majority of the oil I'd say so it isnt looking too good tbh I'll keep everyone up to date with whats going on :thumbup:

Oulton is a CTR killer. I'm guessing it'll be cylinder 4, not likely to be the oil filter, a combination of right handers, thin oil and nit enough of it. K20s clearly not bulletproof.

He has an oil cooler mike so quite possible it's the sandwich plate or associated pipework.

dont think its what you had mike as it has an oil cooler fitted and it locked the front wheels up as if it seized.

we`ll wait and see if theres a hole in the block.

Thanks guys for the support, Im going to do some research on the k24 engine before hand because I dont think its just a simple swap of the heads.. I'm off out to have a good look now anyway.

i was also told it was a very easy conversion..2.4

i think alot of people say its not an easy swap due to the amount of work g had done to his,but that because of the skunk2 cams and really going to town on it.

If you buy a complete Accord type S motor you'll have all the parts you need exept the CRV engine mount bracket.

Only extra consideration is a modded k20a or stock RRC k20z oil pump if you want to rev to 8000rpm.

Andy18 is a member on here who did a DIY stock k24a3 block swap with no cams, he runs low 13's on street tyres & leaves Focus RS's for dead :thumbup:
