Max - Hey mate, its going well. Got pretty much all the parts i need now. We've just finished jigging it straight and welding on the new front bulkhead tonight, its looking really promising. Got a good bit done in the last week, but its been a really slow build as work keeps getting in the way. :bad-words: I'm trailering it back to my garage tomorrow as my mate needs to clear his garage to take in more work. So hopefully i'll have it built back up and running in the next couple of weeks. :WOOT I've just uploaded a load of build pics onto photobucket, so will update the build if i get time tomorrow. :salut:

Settez - Thanks mate. Its really coming together now. Might even get 1 more track day in before its tucked away for the winter, but not for defo yet. :bigthumb:

Bigun86 - Thanks. Honestly, i couldn't tell if it makes a difference. I never really noticed anything, but i normally do a few mods at the same time. It was more to level the rods a bit so the rack isn't under as much stress. :salut:

Overdue update......

Well its come a long way since i last updated, but i'll do it a bit at a time.
I trailered it from my garage to a mates who does accident repairs. He works for a reputable body shop doing this kind of thing every day, so i was very confident leaving it in his care. He said he had fixed much worse, which took some stress off. It turns out the front had been pushed back about 50mm, so the subframe was bowed like a banana. I got a new 1 off ebay from Integrastella and it was delivered within a few days. This was then bolted up and the front was pulled out with the jig to line up the bolt holes.

Once it was all straight we cut off the front bulkhead which was mashed and twisted round the bottom of the subframe. We then pulled the forks out to suit the new bulkhead.

£194 from Honda and next day delivery, this was then sized up and welded into place.

With this then all done i set about giving it a coat of paint as it was just a black primer, and with primer being porous it would rust. I also done the new wing and cut the new slam panel to fit the RBC.

I got a bargain with the thermostat aswell. £9 delivered!! They're £70 new from Honda!! The old 1 was a mess.

Neil - Will do dude. :bigthumb:

Max - Thanks mate. :salut:

Carlos - There's yer update.... :P  Bit late, i know. Was away down Englandshire with the Mrs for the weekend. I seen your reply earlier, thanks for that mate. True gent! :salut:

ctr-lib - Yea, defo a hard lesson learned, but these things happen. I heard a pro race driver say that if you never come off the track then you're obviously not pushing your car to the limits. Shall be back on the road soon enough. Thanks for the comment. :salut:

Terry - I'm not too bad with a rattle can. Its not a perfect finish like a paint shop, but will do for a track car. :bigthumb: I suppose i could give them a wee coat of red before you get them. :badrazz:

Jag - Thanks mate. I picked up a nice wee bit of carbon on sat night.

Neil - "There's a plan in everything boys, ........."

Dean - After your rant about not giving up on it, i was too scared not to. :P
