Stevo M81- Thanks. Yea, the engine fired first time when i remembered to click the fuel cut out switch.

Blunty - Haha, so true. Na, the rad is mashed around the engine mount. Oil cooler is mashed, but not leaking.

Simon - Thanks dude. Was a bit sore on monday.

Eric_Sn@il - There's always 1. :badrazz:

N+N - Yea, its the risk you take eh. Thanks mate. :salut:

Julian - Cheers. I was so happy with it just before it happened aswell.

Mr Max - You know me too well.

Dean - :roflmao: I think the car had fallen out with me and ate my lighter!! God knows where Ryan found it. All the gauges were flapped forward, the steering wheel had been pushed to its highest setting and everything in the doukets had fired forward and got stuck. Looking at the in-car footage (over and over again  ) i think i hit the banking about 70mph. I had a V-shaped bruise from the harness the next day, and that cut on my neck was from my chain getting caught between my collar bone and harness.
I've had a look over it and i think the left fork is bent, so its going to need jigged to straighten and a new front section welded onto it. Started to strip it down on wed night, but never got much done.
I suppose i just accepted that it's just the risk you take. As a few race drivers have told me, if you never have an off, then you're obviously not pushing your car to the limits. :salut:

Gary - I ended up the service road on the right when you go over Duffus. So no gravel to slow me down. Yea, it's save-able, if i had went over the banking and rolled it, it would have been a different story though. I done the exact same as the Lambo in the vid.
I never noticed the smaller kerbs, was too busy trying to avoid them.

Tuf - Cheers. :salut:

Scotty - I hated the look of them tbh. They're now orange anyway.

Murdoch - Cheers fella. What you driving about these days?

Carlos - Thanks mate. I'm not going to give up with it. :-D

Kips - Same here!! They maybe know i'm not a quitter. Yea, Mishimoto rad coming my way.

Tony - Thanks. I think it's done more damage than good here though tbh, the subframe took most of the hit as it was a ramped banking.

But yeah Gus, put the onboard up. For the off of course but I want to see footgae of you actually bashing round the track because you were a GOOD bit faster than the Scoobies on at the same time as you

As stated - the car didn't appreciate being shiney & clean since its clearly never been washed in the last 2 year so when you decided to clean it the R took offense and headed straight for the dirt bank to set you right

As a donation to your front end rebuild im willing to part with my lip you have been asking for at a special darky to white boy VAT exlusive price :P

Hope it gets fixed soon dude

Murdoch - Sounds like a good build!! Will keep my eye out for it. :bigthumb: Good luck with it.

N+N - I'll try uploading it. Just at the bottom of a long list to do the now dude. :salut:

Alan - Thanks dude.

Kris - Your drifting was epic! I was holding back as i wasn't really sure how it was going to end.
Yea, i can't believe how slow that Scooby was. The guy in the old school Celica was a w@nk though!! He was cutting up the inside of me on every corner, pity his acceleration was crap and i got away from him on the home straight. :bad-words:

Dean - Thanks. We did both have a bit of whiplash for a week, but both of us are ok now. I've got a scar on my neck where my chain dug in under the harness.
I'll get it up ASAP dude. I think because i was at the front of the pack i was getting a clear run most of the time.

Matt - Cheers, i was so happy with it before it happened. Yea, Cowan spent 2 days cleaning it before it went up to Knockhill. So it was gleaming!

Jag - :roflmao: Thats what i was thinking mate! It prob felt naked without its usual coating of mud.
Hmmmmm, I could be very interested in your carbon clad offer. :D What price we talking? I'm looking at a fibreglass bodykit front bumper, but could be tempted if the price is right. :-D

Rob - Thanks mate. I'm just about to fire an update up now. :salut:
I used a sharp Stanley knife, brute strength and time. I removed the seats and lay in the footwell hacking away for a good hour or 2. :salut:

Well, update time eh?
So, after a week i recovered from the whiplash and set about the EP.

It was turning over, but wouldn't fire at Knockhill, but when i thought about it I remembered the fuel cut-out is behind the glove box. I had to find it after hitting a massive pot hole a couple of years ago in a friends car and it cut out on us on the motorway.

I gave it a jet wash as it was MANKY!! Think i took half the banking and grass home with me. I then stripped it down and set about checking what was bent, damaged or f*cked. Looks like i got away lightly tbh, the subframe, suspension, lower arms and engine were all fine.
It used to look like this.....

It now looks like this....

The bumper has popped back into shape, it was flat packed IKEA style. Its demolished though...

SURPRISINGLY...... The oil cooler rad is holding though!! Its bent like a banana and mashed, but no leaks!! I'd defo recommend a Setrab cooler to anyone now!!

It also burst both the Samco hoses and snapped the thermostat. Which were about 4 months old!!

Looks like the front crash bar took a lot of the impact then Gus and saved it from major damage. :bigthumb:

Better than going in on the side where you have suspension, brakes, driveshafts e.t.c where you have no protection.

Hope you get it back on the road asap! Impressed with that oil cooler not leaking aswell, must be good quality! :salut:
