I got my Buddyclub low rails eventually, and OMP seat bolts which i forgot to order. Then fitted 1 seat for the MOT. I think i want to keep it a 1 seater, it looks hardcore as f*ck!! And got myself a wee Buddyclub oil cap while i was at it.

But since you track the car a lot mate how come you went BC coilovers? Not go for the Buddyclubs? Or something 1K+ price range since the car is tracked a lot?

BC Coilovers > Buddyclub

i was tempted with a set of these myself, be interesting to read what you think after your next track outing

   No. The ones Gus have are better than N+ though

Gus, how could you possibly fit those shiney new babies and NOT clean the arches. You make me sad!

It does look bloody awesome though. I like the new orange touches. Seat looks amazing! Can't wait to see it this year.

Gus' are the RM's...which are the inverted version of what I had..I had the BR's. They also do an ER series with external reservoirs and independent compression/rebound. They have also now released a V1 series...no idea what they have

So who's my bitch??

Lee - Defo dude, i'm choking for a passenger ride in your 467bhp beast!! That thing will be crazy!!

Blunty - I went for BC's because i've never heard any bad reviews about them apart from they're clunky, which to be honest isn't a big deal as my car is loud anyway. They seem to age well, they're cheap, they're a well known brand now and they're actually a very good bit of kit. The chamfered lower locking ring is a very clever idea and patented i'm sure.
The RM's were £800 direct from BC. I know i could have got them cheaper, but for quick, hassle free delivery i just went direct. So they're sub £1k. They're inverted, so lose some unsprung weight. And i chose the 8/10kg spring rates as i still use it on the roads, so didn't want it too heavily sprung, but not sloppy. I wanted the ER series, but they only came in 10/16kg rates, which is way too heavy to rattle down the 'great' Scottish roads.
I've heard that the Buddyclub locking rings snap. (Dean's did i'm sure? ) Apart from that they're a good coilover, but you pay a lot more for pretty much the same quality.
So as you can see i did put a lot of thought into it. :salut: I looked for ages, done loads of research into what was best for me and got peoples reviews. I also looked at HSD HR coileys, which i was going for if i never got the BC's.
Thats a novel there!! But a do like to waffle some crap. :-D

Tony - I'll post up my opinions of them after the Monster Unit track night on 21st of April. :salut:

Dean - You know me dude, i reaaaaaaaally can't be bothered cleaning it. It doesn't make it go any faster. :P You're perfectly welcome to clean it any time your wee heart desires dude. And cheers for the kind words mucker! :salut:

Where did you hear that gus..?

They seemed ok when I tightened all mine up with a hammer  That'll teach them to come loose. You should look at your locking rings after the first week or 2 and see how tight they are, mine kept coming loose on the BC's for a few months but they sorted themselves out eventually. Maybe some thread lock or ptfe tape would stop it..when they came loose while I was driving you can't really tell apart from they make a horrible bang over the kerbs.

The buddyclub are a different unit to the bc racing completely. I would definitely have kept my bc racing if they were a bit quieter and more balanced on the road, or if the road stuff wasn't important then, like it isn't now..They will be perfect for a track toy like yours. The buddyclubs are a much stronger unit, they don't make any noise at all and are really well put together. Put one of each next to each other and the buddyclubs are just so much bulkier and you can see where the difference in price is, they're just much more suited to a road/occasional track toy. You would have possibly wanted the P1's though tbh and they are a good 15-1600 iirc.

In april just crank them up to the "hard as fcuk" setting but try to avoid the kerbs...

Andy - I was sure it was Dean that had snapped 1 of the locking rings. I've defo heard of 1 snapping.
I've cranked them up as tight as i can, but i'll defo check them periodically now though dude. :salut: And they were a bit clunky when i hit potholes going to and from the MOT. But nothing i can't live with.

That was part of the reason i chose BC's. They were so much cheaper than Buddyclub's for the same spec of unit. And with the money saved i can do an extra 2 or 3 track days.

Carlos - Thanks dude.

Dean - I was sure it was you that told me that last year when we were at SMC with your satin EP3. I must be mistaken. But i defo heard of someone's locking ring split. I remember these things cos i'm sad.
