Clockwise Motion Baffled Sump arrived. Booked in for a service & fitting later this month @ ABP. Should be having a week off work from 11th July so looking to book Oulton that week...

Car hasnt been cleaned for 2 weeks and really needs a wash!

Flat style wiper blades on order as the Bosch ones suck, and a set of McGuard locking wheel nuts arrived too.

Not my picture for the same thing:

Been a busy but expensive month.. :(

JDM deflectors from EightSpeed - shout out to Stevie top bloke!
JDM sized numberplates
Flat style wiper blades
McGuard locking wheel nuts
Full service, valve adjustment & baffled sump fitted by the boys at ABP - again another top job from them :D
An 12 months tax - £260! :S

And a new camera! So mandatory photos had to be taken after a clay bar/mini detail session;

Went to Oulton Park yesterday with Julian instructing, was a fantastic day and really impressed with how the car performed. Big shout out to Julian for the advice he gave me, his instruction is superb! Never did a trackday before yesterday but had comments from the organisers/other spectators on how well I was driving...! Catching modified E46 M3s round the bends is something I never expected on my first time..

Got wasted by the big boys - Ferrari F430 race car, Clio Cup car aswell as the usual Caterhams/Porsche GT3 RS's but was a cracking day out! Only one moment going too fast into Lodge resulting in massive understeer and the back end getting light on Island bend but the car handled really well.

Shame Ive cooked my brakes and could only do 4 laps at a time, but in the process of sorting a new brake set up...

Julian should do instruction and Im sure he'd be happy to take anyone round for a small fee... ;)

And my favourite!

Looks likely a StopTech touring brake kit, Progress 27mm RARB and Skunk 2 LCA's will be ordered before its next track outing at the end of September..

Any comments?
And again a big thanks to Julian for his words of wisdom :D

Thanks for looking,
Dan

Cheers fella :D

Standard ABP FRSU, on the right rear its running -1.07 and on the left rear -1.17. Handles really well for just lowering springs and a FRSU!

What camber are you looking to run at with yours?

Hey them pics came out quite well Dan! I might go into photography if all else fails  :P

Glad you enjoyed the day pal, was a pleasure to teach you. You learned really quickly and by the afternoon flying round on your own mixing it with some fast machinery.
For the track organisers to say you were going well for your 1st day is a big compliment when you were sharing the track with race prepped Ferrari's & Porsche's!

Must say it was the most professional well organised day i've ever been to, the standard of driving was extermely high and curtious and not over subscribed like a lot of days i've been on there. I think there was 2 red flags, one breakdown and one for an accident and i never saw a yellow flag all day! I was very impressed with Easytrack :salut:

Once the brakes are upgraded the car will be spot on, it's amazing how well these car's go with just a few minor mods and a decent set of tyres.

If anybody is looking to do Oulton for the 1st time i can offer my services just pm me!

Cheers Julian, the pics you took were pretty good! :D

I know was a confidence booster, but I think I had a good teacher! ;) Can't wait get back on there, roll on end of september. Shame its the same month as my car insurance is due so starting to save now. I was impressed with Easytrack too, very professional organised day and even the briefing was entertaining! But impressed with the other drivers giving me room when needed.

Brakes are here now, goodridge braided hoses are due tomorrow and just waiting on the progress rarb but will take a week or two with it coming from the US.

Im doing me old mans papers next week as hes on holiday after tomorrow so may see you about :)

Cheers mate, its your pic that made me go for the Progess RARB when you did Oulton!! :D
Progress ARB should mean you use all of your tyre on the rear through the corner as well!
Ah that would be better, seemed I was only using the inner halves on the rears. Hopefully tighten the back end up nicley as felt quite unsteady at higher speed (i hope)...

Cheers fella, not bad as taking pictures of cars on track is quite hard! Haha believe it or not, but id just overtaken the GTR but was expecting him come steaming past on the straight. Was gutted when Julian told me he was disabled, and was most likely on a cool down lap :/

I can't wait to get my first oulton park track booked

I just need a rvc and ecu first but with work going a little slow I don't want to spend it

Oh well was fitting the baffle hard work?
Cheers mate :) Nah you dont need any engine mods, ive only got a catback & cai and was still able to go through corners as quick as a JRSC'd CTR (on T1-R's..)

Baffled sump was fitted by ABP, probs isnt too bad if youve got access to ramps? Mine was due its 36K service so made sense to have it done at the same time.

All the parts have now arrived apart from the Progress RARB, once thats arrived then will start getting it all fitted. Think the calipers/hubs will get redone in sliver and have got some underseal that needs using up so can get that done at the same time.
