Cant you just cut that area away instead of having the holes as i think it would look even better.

Yea i was thinking i would cut the whole section out if i didnt like the holes, ive seen plenty of CTR's with that but the only problem with that is it reveals a section of the front slam panel so decided to sick with the holes.

Yea thats the look im going for, trying to make a daily driver that can mix it on track too, think the CTR will be an awesome car for some track fun.

Really the like reg plat set off to the side, carlos off here has done the same and it really suits the car, I'd just hate drilling the small holes to attach the plate.....not a bother for you with the huge ones you had to drill in the recess Looking good :thumbup:

cheers bluntcap, yea i think i saw someone else on here too which gave me the idea. Funny enough to bumper i used had pretty bad paint damage behind where the number plate now is from the previous owner of the bumper hitting a pigeon so I didnt mind putting holes in it so much.

Yea got for it simple mod to do and has a big impact on the look of the car so worth while IMO, but probably not to everyone’s tastes.

What's the benefit of the holes in the bumber? I would guess it's to do with cooling, but does it actually work? Any logged tempratures? I like the look. I could keep my numberplate on on the road and remove it for extra cooling for track use.

Yea its going to allow a little more air to the radiator but I dont think its going to make a massive difference because the front slam pannel still blocks half the hole space and I dont have a problem with over heating as it is, it was more for the look that I modified it.

Yea the good thing about cutting hole rather than cutting the whole section out is that you can still fit your number plate in the recess then just take it out on track, Ive seen a guy with a supercharged CTR on here who did exactly that.

Ok DC exhaust manifold heat wrapped and finally fitted and swapped my kpro for a k100 mapped for gruppe m, dc exhaust manifold and spoon cat back and its running well, noticeable power increase and sounds and smells awesome without the cat. Only thing is who ever mapped the kpro before didn't lower the vtec point which will be a massive benifit once done.
Will get the car booked into cpl soon once RBC and hopefully JDM cams are fitted

Cheers buddy, no cracking issues at all just used the circular cutting bit you can put on a drill (not sure what that's called) marked out the holes and drilled them out then cut to shape and attached some bumper mesh behind the bumper in case any stray stones fancy a pop at my radiator.

Just used normal number plate screws and white caps and screwed it straight to the bumper, no bracket.
The plate is 12" long and 6" high, i think that's the standard U.S. plate size but I just went for that because I thought it was a good fit.

yea the mods are finally starting to come along just saving for a remap but planning on fitting my RBC and some newly acquired DC5 cams that I found last week before it goes off.
