Injen CAI intake fitted. Didn't take too long. Just requires a bit of cutting/drilling here and there. The top rad hose is tighter than a ducks arse on the rubber intake hose. I found an old heat reflective sleeve from a 1.8t vag kicking around which I wrapped around the intake hose to help keep the temperatures down.
On full chat it's pretty noisy. Increased power? Not sure. Feels smoother but Paul at TDI said we'd need to add more fuel on the mapping.
Can't say I'm worried about hydro locking. You'd need to drive through a puddle at least a foot deep. Luckily we don't suffer from much flooding in my area so shouldn't be an issue.

I think if a JRSC came up for sale I'd be all over it. The exhaust set up is perfect for supercharged with the 3 inch collector. Although I think that's also killing a bit of my power staying N/A.
I like the look of the new Skunk2 drop in cams that have just come out. The price of them isn't too shabby either. Again if later on I went boosted these would help.
Either way I'd like it back on the dyno soon to get the max out of the Injen set up. Sounds like TDI North aren't opening Saturday's for dyno and their next appointment is at the end of June. I've spoke to Eurospec and they've got some Saturday dates available in the next few weeks. Bummer is though I'll have to pay for a full tune again at £360. But they are only just over an hour away compared to TDI which are 3 hours from me. In hindsight I should of gone to Eurospec from day one.

Mapping booked for the 27th of June. Now just got to see what else I can buy and bolt on in the mean time. Gutted I missed a JRSC kit on eBay that sold for £1500.
Still thinking of some drop in cams. Which ones to go for though is the question...

Ah that was you next to me. Not a bad motor you've got yourself ;) Wish I bought some tools with me to steal your JRSC when the bonnet was up

Never even heard of them. Although after a quick google, I have my doubts about them.
Have you ever heard about IPS?

I've heard them mentioned when doing some research on cams. From what I understand IPS went under and someone from IPS started SVM?

IPS has always been one of the best brands on the US when talking about camshafts. They stopped doing cams and closed down, but you can still find brand new sets on some US forums.

Then the K20A.org forum owner sold the forum and bought IPS.

You will find bad reviews but from 2012... Nothing to do with nowadays.

Mines already have the latest centerlines upgrade to run max vtc and still be safe.
