salem wrote:Jordan aka Omi does it say which entrance gate we need to go in?

I have a feeling because our location is very different from past locations that we might be better going the long way around to get to Combe to avoid the traffic...
It will be the entrance after the paddock gate.
Do you know the other way in ?
Yes I'm sure I know which entrance they would want us to use just want to check... as for knowing how to get to that entrance the long way around... mmmmm not so sure so that could be interesting... but I think if we come off at the same junction as normal get turn right instead of left and drive around that way..
Beefy has to go in the middle though or we will lose him...
Lol, he'll never live that down
That and his dukes of hazzard style jump over the hump back bridge on the Yorkshire Tour

I should have known there'd be some comment after I saw the organising cars one from Dan

I'm not going with the NW convoy, I'm going with the Bristol convoy as I'm staying with some work colleagues from Bristol so I'm only an hour or so away :badrazz:

I haven't had time to look & see what gate we go in so I don't know the best route
I haven't even bothered with that, I'll let someone else do the leading!

big thanks to lynda for sorting this event again.
Not a problem bren

Right i was going to do some multi quoting but there been that many replies

we will be entering through Gate C on the day folks!

Hers a couple links to google maps to have a look:

Map view With Marker on Gate C Junction 18

Map view With Marker on Gate C Junction 17

Please be aware the info i have from japfest says to come off at junciton 17 rather than the normal junction 18

It would probaly be better to come off at 17 rather than 18 and all the people going in though Gate a & B will be clogging up the route from junction 18.

As dan has said folks if you want food cooked for you on the day can you please bring your own food and use the amenities that have been kindly provided by Dan & CTRO!!!

anything you need dan gimme a shout

@ Dan,

I will phone them tomorrow and see what i can do to get you in at 7 when they allow the stand cars in as your car is full of our stuff i will be intouch ASAP with you about it

Thought you was joining the convoy? if so why not share the stuff in various cars, just a thought?

you might be lucky if you say you are coming to help set up and have items in the car they might let you in as they did with a couple of Rebel members Marve and Jon a couple of years ago when they gave us a hand setting up in Japfest.

Nope was going to but 2 reasons

1) Still got to drive to a meeting point to unload on others.
2) got an overnight stop in bristol so i don't have to get up that early (4am start last year nearly killed me!)

tell me to mind my own or keep out of it but I am just thinking of making your life a little easier getting the items to the stand etc..

Would you like me to have a word with the Bristol convoy maybe you could meet with them or maybe arrange with a couple to pick up the stuff? Mikeface is very a lovely and very helpful chap :-D

Or maybe Tonyb89 at the Chippenham point?

I'm sure you are all big strong lads but I dont want anyone pulling anything carrying stuff over just thinking of your health...

EDIT - getting you in would be even better and as said above i cant see a problem with it as i arranged this a couple of years go [smilie=karls_thumb.gif]
