I can get boxes of those 1/4 lb burgers like you get on the burger vans, its about £16 for 48 and they're the bollocks. Much better than those shitty ones from Asda which come off the bbq about the size of a 50p piece..

Yeah I dont mind chipping in some cash for food, that's what we did last year, then a few of us trundled off to the local Tesco for some perving and food buying

Well my plan was to go and buy some supplies locally to JAE on the Friday. I wouldn't buy the cheapest stuff but obviously high quality costs more.

To date we've broken even after paying marquee & furniture hire (plus VAT), plot fee and BBQ cost but there's not a huge amount left in the pot to feed 30 plus people!

That stuff looks lovely Gravy but at £16 a kilo for sausages I'm afraid everyone would be lucky to get a sausage each.

We have two maybe three cool boxes to keep stuff cool.
If we are going to bring food it might be best to have a master list of what is coming so we don't end up with 200 burgers, 400 bangers and three chicken wings and a tomato.
Perhaps if someone would take this role on other than Cat, one less thing to worry about. I would put myself forward, but only of someone else doesn't... not organised a Bbq of this size before

For stuff like salad, rolls and sauces (and extra meat if we need it) we can send Paul to perv at the local checkout girls with some of the proceeds of the whip round.

I'm happy(ish) about a whipround for food but I did sort of suggest it was included in the stand pass cost.
At the moment I've got about £50 in the pot towards food. I reckon we should get some Omni burgers, then get Tescos finest sausages and rolls at a store local to JAE, plus butter, salad and sauces etc.

Gravy's sausages sound great but a kilo would only give you about 12 sausages so @ £16 that's a lot per sausage!

Tbh last year with the supplies I bought and stuff folk brought we ended up binning a load on the Sunday.
