Its Whats Inside That Counts...

Hi all

Don't post a great deal on here but I wanted to share these and see if it was something anyone else may be interested in?

I've just fitted a Premier interior to my car and thought it would look nice with red seat belts, I searched everywhere but couldn't see it had ever been done before.

I had these made by a retrimming specialist I know locally, he's been doing his job for years and wasn't phased by this. The Seatbelts obviously aren't marked with safety labels etc but he assures me the stitching is better than OEM.

It's something I was thinking of offering for sale if there's any interest? Pricing TBC.

All genuine reels and mounting hardware, just new webbing. Looks ace IMO.

I'll get some pics when fitted if anyone is interested.

Cheers

These look very nice and I would be interested the only thing in the back of my mind is whether they would still be fit for purpose. As a seatbelt is a major safety item and obviously there is no testing done on the material with these. My fear would be in a accident how would they hold up!

I see your point mate, in my eyes it's no different to people fitting harnesses or steering wheels without airbags etc.

I've know this chap for years and I take his assurances, if he wasn't happy he just wouldn't have done the job!

It's all at your own risk though.

So the insurance know they haven't been E marked then? Also harnesses are made to exceed standard seat belt strengths.

Mate I like them and would buy a set it's just a shame they haven't been approved, I wouldn't personally buy them because of that reason but everyone is different glwts.

Cheers mate, that's cool as I said if anyone wants them it's at their own risk!

I've seen lots of people over the years buy fake takatas etc and use them and they may have tags on them, but I be they're not even close to begging correctly tested.

At least I know the bloke who's made these and how good his work is :)
