Thats right,
Can start the car with they key or with the button.
Still has same security, ie key must be in ignition and at position 2 to start the car with button.
Thanks i like the H/U or i wouldn't of bought it.

Do you hold the button down till it starts, like when you told the key in the '3' position, or just push it once and leave it?
How long did it take you to fit? Was it fiddly? How much do honda charge to fit it?

As you say, you push in the button and hold till it fires (couple of seconds).
Took about 1.5 hours to fit, not that fiddly and Honda will not fit it, as far as i am aware.

That looks fantastic!
Definately a near-future mod.
Think I'll put it somewhere other than ciggy lighter as I need it for the portable hoover and tyre pressure regulator

I cant imagine how to even start!! did you rip the whole silver bit out and push the cig lighter out? and are all the wires there like you have drawn them? or do you have to find the wires and fish them out? looks wel complex!!

Form an orderly queue though

.
Seriously though if anyone did or does need help i am more than willing, i have a lot of practical experience from my automotive background.
The job just requires removing the silver panel surrounding the gear stick. once this is done the lighter can be pushed through from the rear. After that make up the wires as detailed on the relay and plug them into the connector used on the lighter socket. Make the hole slightly larger, splice wire onto starter cable in ignition and that is it.
I have a Word document giving pictures, text walk through and the schematic, that would make it easy for anyone.
Can this be put on the site as a sticky or in a way people can download it??
Been S6 installing today, but that was a peace of p1ss as well.
The helps here Daddy or for anyone else who wants it.
