Meso, you will have to get back to TDi and get Kpro fitted

Still forgetting your blackjax code?
Hi pal! :-D

I want to get back to TDi believe me, Kpro is next (just waiting for my house to sell and then going to spray my wad on my beast)...ooohh matron how rude :ymca:

Just need to figure out if I want any other mods before I bite the bullet because I dont want to fork out for another rolling road to tune the Kpro after the first go!

Not had the memory lapse problem since I saw you last, just keep forgetting I have it fitted when passengers are getting in and out...embarrassing!! :???:

Defo get a manifold fitted at same time as K-Pro for around 230bhp as you already have filter & exhaust.

Total cost might seem high but you do recover K-Pro costs when you sell the car.

I used my orig ecu and had a 2 hour dyno tune. Supposed to get better fuel consumption but the temptation to boot it is too strong so still buying barrels of petrol

JAS have been around for a long time. They prepare cars for european touring cars etc. They're very pricey but they do have a good range of stuff

You can re-map it yourself if you have a laptop or get the 3rd party to load up the standard map prior to swapping them over bud

If the 3rd parties mods are similar to yours then it wouldn't be a problem although every car is different so a re-map by a specialist would be advisable :salut:

1. I have V2 and Spooon B pipe, is a Kpro worth getting?
2. Should I get an N1?
3. Whats the difference between Kpro and K100?
4. How does it affeect your MPG? Is loss due to driving it harder?
5. Can you choose where Vtec is set to, I wouldn't want to go less than 5!
6. Do you loose the Vtec 'kick'?
7. How do you set 'launch control'?
8. Does anyone has a list of Reccomended tuners? I don't mind traveling to get the best. I hear CPL a lot, are they the best for KPRO?

Many thanks
With ref to the above question(s), did anyone answer them? I am considering K-Pro but I am mod-less at the moment and so wondering what the K100 option is all about?

All of these questions have been answered 100 times over in other threads, I would recommend you acquaint yourself with the search function

For example:

http://www.civictype-r.co.uk/forum/sear ... mit=Search

But let's make it 101 times (for all you lazy 'tards out there) shall we?

1. Kpro is worth getting even if you have no mods at all
2. How loud do you like your exhausts, and how much money can you afford to spend? If the answer is loud and you have £600 to spend on a catback, go for it.
3. K100 is cheaper, is a fit and forget solution, does not have user mapping, no usb port for datalogging and is tied to one tuner so if you want to add or remove mods you would need to go back to get them to remap. Othewise they are the same.
4. Depends how it's mapped, what other mods you have and how heavy your right foot is. Most people find they get an extra 30 or 40 miles per tank, but it's a silly question... like: how long is a piece of string?
5. You can do, but why would you want to. The VTEC point should be set at an optimum point for your other modifications. Saying "I don't want it set at below 5000rpm" is stupid. VTEC can engage under full throttle as low as 3000rpm with the right mods.
6. Yes, it's smoothed over and you gain between 30 and 40bhp at that point and a shed load of torque. Which would you rather have - a "kick" or upto 40bhp?
7. In KManager software if you have KPro, or your tuner will set it if you have K100. I have mine set to 0 (disabled) because I like to use my right foot to control the car.
8. Kpro dealers are found on this page, choose any of them depending on where you live.

if you wanna kpro a standard ctr, then overall max bhp gains shouldn't be your goal....the mid range gains/differences are where it's at...if your a max power seeker then you need to do some breathing mods as well...

k-pro can give you massive gains stock and even bigger gains with supporting modifications. Currently working on a CTR for a member here with his setup and we've gained power everywhere with just cam and af tuning!

Did you do this online or rang in? What did you class the mod as? I'm with ummm Admiral this year I think (I switch between the Two each year) so this is important for me to know as I want Kpro later this year.

It will be at the optimal point for your car...another ctr with same mods may have a slightly different changeover point than yours...I would guess at about 4250 - 4500 rpm and it will stop at the limiter which will be at 8600rpm I expect
