Hi guys, I am going to be putting a k20 into my ep2 at the beginning of February, I have spoke to Tom who put one into a ep1 and he told me that he had to change the dash loom, but I was thinking because the steering wheel and clocks and every thing else is a straight fit could there be a chance that I only got to change the engine loom ? I have also messaged performancetek but did not receive a reply!!! If any of you could clear this up for me it would be great or if you know what mods will have to be done to the ep2 loom ? I have bought every thing to do the conversion but it would save me a lot of hassle if I didn't have to change the dash loom.

Could you not look at the workshop manual which covers both variants, surely the wiring diagram will show any differences ??

I found out that the clocks, steering wheel and ecu off a type r all plug into my dash loom, would there be anything else that I am missing ?

Why not just buy an ep3 to drive and save the effort??

you can bry EP3s for £2k now, so why spend twice that building a replica?

Why are you doing this? There has to be a reason?

It's not just the engine, clocks and ancillary wiring. You also have extra chassis strengthening on the EP3 and different suspension setup etc.

Just buy an EP3 because when you tell your insurance, its going to push your insurance up to EP3 levels anyway.

Just pointless all round really.

Why would you want to do this? What possible purpose does it serve?

What about chassis, brakes, hubs, running gear and suspension???..... why not just buy an EP3?!?!
