I'm in the middle of installing an oil temperature sensor on the engine (via a sandwich plate at the oil filter) and would be grateful if anyone could point me in the direction of a suitable hole/grommet to pass the cable through. I've used the search function but could only find posts without any pictures. I would like to route the cable into the glove box as thats where I'm placing a Raspberry Pi to output to my ICE.
I'm not sure which of location 1 or 2 would feed the cable into the glovebox, and would however require traversing the cables through a hot engine bay which does not appeal. Would I be a lunatic to pass the cable around the side of the bonnet (location 3), through the wing and into the cabin throught the door grommet? This way seems the easiest and avoids the hot parts, but just seems wrong.
