Hi All,

Fitted a set of bilstein b14 coilovers last week and whilst adjusting the height today I noticed some play already in the n/s damper. This is what led me to replace the konis previously fitted although the play was a lot worse.

Question is......is a bit of play considered normal/acceptable or do I need to contact bilstein already??

What do you mean by "play" in the damper?
Is the vehicle oscillating too much before settling?

As in if the car jacked up and you wobble the wheel left to right there is slight movement due to the damper shaft moving within the strut body. The place that set the geo up said it was fine and it drives fine so guess it's nothing to worry about.

As long as the movement isn't there when the car is on the ground then it's ok.
