My EP3 is currently running a DC sports manifold with a custom 2.5inch stainless cat back exhaust. I find it too loud and want to change it but what do i go for thats going to be quieter?

Other mods are RBC inlet, Grouppe M, K100,

Most exhaust boxes and resonators used on Hondas are straight through / perforated tube type.
The only easy way to make a straight through 2.5" exhaust quiet, is to use the largest and longest glass packed boxes as possible. If you are willing to pay good money, you could also use a system with tuned side chambers (Helmholtz resonator tubes) to cancel out drone & rasp.

Of if you don't care about losing power, you can step down to a 2.25" system or use louvered and chambered exhaust boxes to get things much quieter.

Anything under 105db on 3"er for a Civic is comparatively quiet.

Still facking loud though

My solid fab 3 inch system measured 96db static at 6,000rpm and hit 95db on drive by. Drones like fook on the motorway.

Yes. But at almost £800. I'm stupid, but not that stupid.

Can think of better ways to blow £800. I can't justify it personally. However it maybe justifiable for someone else in better financial position without responsibilities.

Mugen Twinloop is quiet on mine even with the DC mani. So quiet in fact i can actually hear the JRSC!

I would opt for a Toda Dolphin if I were to change again. 3" is great for gains but is too intrusive. Somewhat drowns out the charger also

The Tegiwa catback based on the RM01A is quiet and good value.

i have an Invidia G200 catback (mated with a toda header) and it is really quiet, only after 6000 rpm starts to scream and some drone on motorways between 3500 and 4000 rpm. Good price, good materials, welds and fits well.

Don't know the db level but very very, it just has a lovely noise nit booming or raspy, much more like its how the car just sounds.
