Hi guys I'm planning some engine work on my ep3 and picking up parts where I can over the next few months. I have an RBC and adapter plate already. I think I will get a skunk 2 throttle body next. I'm then thinking of the DC Sports manifold. I will get it all fitted just before I go to TDI North for a k100 and remap. I have a Cobra 2.5" cat back exhaust with a 4" tailpipe and not sure if I would benefit from upgrading to a 3" system and not sure which to go for if I did. Not in a rush to do it all and don't want to spend mega money, any advice would be great

You'll benefit from the 3inch exhaust diameter. But they're noisy and if you're lowered you struggle with speed bumps. All depends on what you intend to use the car for.

I personally wouldn't bother with a 70mm throttle body mate. The 3" catback does seem to gain power all over on a k20 engine but if your on a budget stick with what you have. Combine the rbc, 2.5" catback you currently have with a Dc manifold or a japspeed one (half the price) and a good air filter (teg m or aem/injen long arm) will net you some good gains with a k100. Should be between 240-250 on tdi north's dyno with big gains in the midrange. Hope this helps pal.
