Im going be getting a quickshift induction kit,
how do i take out my old filter-
what comes out and what stays in?
then how do i fit the new one?
do i need to fart about with the ECU or will it take care of the changes its self?

i suppose the best answer is get a garage to fit it!

It takes about 10 mins to do so I think getting a garage to do it is a bad idea.

Anyone got a description of how to do it?

I would give a description myself but mine is the HKS so it's abit different.
Maybe PM TazType-R as he is very helpful, has most things like this and had one fitted.

Here you go, any questions please PM.

Unscrew airbox lid.
Remove screws in base of filter housing x 3?
Lift the original air box out, after having loosened pipe/clip to cam cover and MAF sensor.
Fix the long bracket to the screw hole located on the left, used by one of the original screws in the airbox
Fit the metal tube you'll see what I mean when you get it, to the MAF sensor pipe, lightly tighten.
Then fit the red breather pipe on to the cam cover
Then attach the filter to the other end of metal tube, lightly tighten
Connect other end of the red hose to the filter
Locate threaded section on the metal tube into hole on the upright bracket you secured earlier
Position everything carefully then tighten every thing up and Voila!!

ECU will adjust to any mods like these after about 30 minutes driving (50 miles) according to driving style.

If you want to speed the process up, remove the fuse to the ECU prior to fitting and put back when complete.
