Where is the best place to feed the air from to an induction kit? The radiator fills most of the gaps in the grille. I don't have fog lights fitted so i was thinking of cutting a hole where the fog light would be and leading a pipe up from there. What ya think??

I've just changed my Pipercross for a Blitz sonic. The blitz is quieter but has a better sound & feels more responsive. [/code]

Do you know what power gain yours blitz is supposed to give??
I've been ringing around today for prices on induction kits. Where'd you get yours from and how much??

I got mine from Revolution Motorsport in Newcastle. I think i probably paid over the odds at £280 but its on now and im well impressed with it.
I dunno where its from but Ash005 has found one for £237, so you might want to ask him.

As far as gains are concerned i dont know the exact figure probably around 10 Bhp with plenty cold air going to it. As far as CTR induction kits are concerned im sure plenty people will agree this is the best filter, only thing is its expensive.

Take a look at TazType-R's photo's in his post and you'll se how good it looks. Once i saw it i had to have one.

Your right, it look s#*t hot. I just can't make my mind up. Do I spend £250 ish on a blitz or get a quickshift for £120 and put the rest towards an exhuast. Defiantly gotta have one or the other. I need to unleash some sounds from under the bonnet.

think you got a good deal stug the £237 i saw didn't include vat or postage :(

i also emailed motorsportworld twice about costs for postage with no reply so i gave up on blitz

i have ordered a quickshift AI and a magnex 6X4 oval back box - cost a total of £290 inc vat :D

i aggree with adj this seemed to make more sense than the blitzsonic :D

if i want a blitzsonic later i'll just sell the quickshift on here!

They are almost the same filter from what I can tell, look simular too, I would have to say go fot the Quickshift! my mates just put one on his CTR Awesome! for only £130ish!
I have the HKS SPF which is also pretty nice but like the Blitz a bit pricey if I hadnt got it cheap second hand I probably would have got the QS one.

I don't know anything about either of these two kits, but I'd be very wary of mounting the cold air intake too low at the front due to the danger of water ingestion. If it's too low then there's going to be a risk even from minor puddles etc.

I can't imagine there being a performance gain for going for the more expensive option, will just look better. Cold air feeds i've seen normally take the air from beneath the car and end up pointing towards the front of the car just behind the induction kit.

miracle that was my point to a mate of mine who was dead set on blitzsonic

why spend £300 on it when you can get one for £100 that also looks good, not as good i admit. But how often do i lift the bonnet? i put oil in every now and then.

My ctr is purely functional, gets me from a to b quickly & comfortably

imo the ctr looks pretty damn good, therfore i'll stick with subtle mods, more about performance than posing.

Has anyone fitted a cold air feed yet? Any pictures?

If you look at mine, the cold air feed is located in the original feed location, with the exception that on the front end it has been located further the front directly behind a hole in the slam panel, so it is fed via the trumpet type end directly to the filter.

Will try and get a pic of the front of the pipe.

Do like you first thought.

Under the battery there is a hole wich leads to a compartment
in the bumper. (There is my filter placed) That compartment is
"connected" with the front were the fogs would be placed.
and you don't need to cut a hole since the plastic plates that
is there stock already has holes in em...

Foox me Taz that looks frickin' awesome.

Apart from the cost and the better appearance, do you know if there's any noticeable difference, sound or performance-wise from the Quickshift?

I said I wouldn't mod the CTR, but it's getting difficult already!

That really is an evil looking bit of kit.

CT - I said exactly the same thing - no mods, but I'm being tempted by all the gorgeous air induction stuff I'm hearing about on this forum.
