I have just spent the evening fitting the Quikshift air filter kit from ABP - just though I would pass on a little hint that may not be immediately apparent....
After I had fitted the kit, I went for a short drive, the car was already warm, around five miles or so. Upon returning home, with a big grin on my face (having made a woman walking her dog jump out of her skin!!) the car was making a squeaking noise at tickover.
When I investigated, it was apparent that the new breather hose which I had routed in accordance with the instructions (rather meagre ones though) wasn't routed properly and where it was returning on itself to connect to the filter, the pipe had crushed itself. As soon as I released the pipe from the filter and straightened the crush, the noise stopped.
After a bit of re routing (which means the Quikshift 'decal' on the pipe is less visible, shame) I bent the pipe the opposite way to the original crush and it is now perfectly fine. The point is, be prepared to mess around with a route for the pipe.
Hope this helps someone out.
Cheers
