Just wondering if the weight listed includes the weight of a tyre? How many pounds would a CTR wheel weigh(including tyre). Would be interested to see if my 18's weigh more or less than the original 17"alloys.
cheers

Cheers, Doesn't that read 22kg as in 3 and a half stone though???

think that's 22lbs mate. Divide that by 2.2 and you get 10kg.

If it's with tire (which it looks like) then it's 22kg or 3.5 stone.
10kg for both tire and alloy is impossible.
Pretty heavy tires there :?

Yup, 22kg is circa 3.5 stone ! It's NOT 22lbs, feel free to check your scales Matt  (3.5 stone is actually 42lbs ish!)

That makes that tyre (not sure what make it is, and yes they do differ!) 13kg

And now a great little tip for conversions:

Go to http://www.google.co.uk (or .com), in the search box type:

numeric weight of item e.g."25"
No spaces!, then the unit it was measured in e.g. "lbs"
then type the word "in"
then type the unit of value you would like it in, e.g. "kg"

So in the above case:

"42lbs in kg"

And it'll work out the answer for you 8)

It does it for all kinds of things as well :D e.g.
"200kph in MPH"
"40ft in M"

Awesome tool !

I can see why people go for lighter wheels then!

Lower unsprung weight and all.

Just worked out that by switching to set of Buddy Club wheels, i could save 24kgs in weight, which if my maths is any good is about 2%. Which on a power to weight ratio is similar to an extra 4bhp

Dont forget that lowering unsprung weight counts for more than losing weight from the cabin - the energy required to turn the wheel is less, which frees up horsepower you already had!

Sorry am abit slow with this, so the standard CTR wheels weigh 22kg completely wrong? and the tyre alone weigh 13 kg?? so the alloy wheel on its own weighs 9 kg? i think that is quite for 18in, similar weight to those rota wheels? or am I wrong?
