I have just had an alloy wheel repaired on my 2004 CTR by Chipsaway. The result is fantastic.

For people in the 'know' this onfo may be useful...

DUPONT MICROFICHE NUMBER: - X0827

To make 2litres the following 'tints' are required...

Tint Code / Quantity
94 / 4.06
5 / 4.45
2 / 4.66
27 / 4.75
20 / 4.83
155 / 9.09
165 / 19.17

I was told that this is for 2004> cars only.

I've no idea how to use this info, but presumably Halfords will be able to figure it out! Cheers!

As per my first post, it was a company called 'Chipsaway' who did did my repair and provided this info. It will be in their dupont colour book

I just want a little pot myself to cover any minor mishaps, just suprised that no one i rang seemed to be able to mix this even with the information supplied.Cant see chips-away being too keen on actually mixing it and not doing the job themselves though.

Just to let you guys know i have finally received the paint now but it is much too dark so either the formula is wrong or it hasn,t been mixed correctly.Think i,ll give up on this one and try to mix something close myself. :x

i paint every day with DuPont and today i sprayed one sample and it is acualy the same as my 05 rim, long time i saw this formula in the program we have for DuPont colors.. and if you are using water paint [CROMAX] then you can not compair it wet to the rim it has to dry

hope you understand what im saying haha

Is it the Dupont cromax paint tints i would need?. if it is, is what your saying is that the paint only matches once it has completely dried?
