Im having my Stoptech front brake kit fitted saturday and ive completely forgot about the rear brakes!!

Will the Autol DOT 5.1 be ok with my standard rear brake calipers, hoses and fixings?

I think ive read on here better fluid can eat through standard hoses???

for the sake of say £30 id get the rear hoses changed aswell bud
might aswell do it alltogether :thumbup:

hows your motor coming along now have you picked up a supercharger yet

Its wether i can get the hoses tomorrow or friday though

Its coming along nicely, ill update my thread this weekend once ive cleaned the car ready for South Mimms meet sunday :thumbup:

You can use 5.1 as it is compatable but you should replace the rear brake lines to give better back performance.. the calipers will be fine :thumbup:

I'm still on standard rear hoses with Stoptechs & 5.1 and haven't had a problem.

not saying there will be a problem as the brake bias system will compensate.. however it will improve the back end braking and take the stess of the fronts if you fit the hoses.... :thumbup:

Yeah i plan on doing it at some point, HEL sent me front ones instead of rears so couldn't fit them when i did the fluid change.
