Hi there,
Please don't think I've purely put this here for self promotion....... it's not my style, but I was asked to create a thread outlining my R34 and so here I am.
A bit of history. Car was purchased brand new as an official NZ car (only 12 in total, 10 VSPEC and 2 VSPEC II) in 2001. I had previously owned a R33 VSPEC and it was either spend the cash to go all out on that or move to something else. At first I wasn't sold on the R34 (brown wheels looked average to me at best) and so I went hunting for an alternative.......... M3's, Evo's, STI's etc etc, but to be honest nothing came close to my R33 and so I was convinced that I could make an R34 look how I wanted so I investigated some more and realised in a different colour and with some nice wheels it looked awesome.
This was confirmed when the car was ordered and it arrived in the country and I flew to Nissan NZ to see it........... just looked awesome in something other than Bayside Blue. I love that colour, but nearly all the R34's I'd seen were that and I think it didn't show off the bumps and curves as much as I liked so this colour was perfect.
The car arrived and a now good mate Jonah Lomu was at the dealership when it arrived trying to convince the dealership owner to take the carbon bonnet and a few other bits off for his own VSPEC car !!! ...... Once we were introduced he soon realised that I wasn't likely to give up the parts....... even if he is the built like the brick $hithouse. LOL
So here I was.......... first ever brand new car, salesman who knew less about it than I did trying to tell me how to use it and all I heard was blah blah blah blah...... I just wanted to start it and drive out.......... They'd taken the factory wheels and swapped them onto my R33 which they'd given me a very good trade price for and I had some Blitz 18" wheels from my old car on there. At first I thought it was nice with those on, but then I saw a mates car in Japan with the current Ray's / Top Secret wheels on and I was sold........ 19" x 9.5 it was. 285 x 30 x 19" rubber all round.
Anyhow over the years I've made some one off parts for the car, everything else is mostly known brand stuff, Nismo, Mines, HKS, Trust. I'll include a spec list below, then some pics from a magazine shoot and some video from earlier in it's life as well as some later on......... please don't laugh at me in the interviews

PS I know some of the sound on the chase scene isn't my car, but the mic's crapped out so they had to improvise
Car is actually a bit different now as it's single turbo not twin and makes around 650HP at the flywheel. Usually only quote at the wheels as that's all that's important, however I know in the UK most think in flywheel HP so.........
Currently in process of building a 2.8 litre HKS engine for the car, however I've put that on hold to focus funds on the NSX project since it's plenty fast enough as it is if I'm honest and not so fussy
Also developed my own touch screen and in car PC solution for the GTR and my Civic also which is awesome. I've converted the Nissan MFD display to touchscreen and integrated all of the Nismo data logging, Garmin Sat Nav, DVD, music etc etc into one unit....... more info here. http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/100766-anoth ... grade.html
Anything else you want to know, feel free to ask.
