i have a plan, going to put a couple of layers of vinyl down in all the places where the rack makes contact with the car...
its when i put the 17kg bike on the roof in the rain and it slips out my hands that i'm worried about though!!!!
cheers!

Sounds like a stupid question, but when do next years bikes usually arrive, I am about to purchase a MTB albeit something a bit more entry level than those two, wonder if I should wait a bit.

yeah they normally start coming out towards the end of the year, just keep your eyes peeled!!
my advice would be to buy or borrow some mountain bike mags and do as much research as possible, also a trip to your local bike shops for some demo rides would be helpful too.

session 88 is a very pretty bike! my forks are rockshox totem solo airs with 180mm travel, dont think you can get much better when it comes to single crown monsters!

I do like the look of new saint cranks. I bought mine in 07, bit out dated now..

no offence taken chap, was just having a laugh, the ellsworth is a lovely bike though!
as for the new saints, tbh i prefer the old ones looks wise, a lot more subtle... awesome cranks though, properly fit and forget by all accounts!
my bikes have all been worth more than my cars too, never been any good at riding them though!
nice to see another rider here, seems theres a few of us lurking in the corners!

It depends what make your after as all the manufactures bring there new model out at different times.
Most manufactures bring the new ones out September time and the rest come out towards the end of the year.
As said above check the net for sales, plus have alook in MBUK or BIKE magazine for info.
What bike you lookin at?

£700 is a awesome deal mate.
If you don't mind me askin where did you get the iron horse from?
As you never hear people talk about them and can't see any shops that sell them.
You would have thought they would be abit more well known since Sam hill used to be sponsered by them
hahaha! cheers!

don't worry about the helmet, it's sat on the chequered vinyl and only there for the picture! + theres probably that much wax on it that its not actually sat on the car, i'm a bit of a detailing obsessive - cant you tell by how shiny it is

?
as for the horse, i bought it from rutland cycling for 2299, i dont think you can get a sunday anywhere now, especially not the elite!!
i'd try:
http://www.winstanleysbikes.co.uk
http://www.rutlandcycling.com
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com - more for parts but still good
and... as silly as this may sound to some people, try your local halfords branch, as they can order in any bike from any brand (except some specialized and giant i beleive) very quickly and will match any price too.

A man after my own heart!!
If some one else told me that, I would have laughed at them, thanks for the info I'll take a look
