Iv come across a few of these in my area and they don't seem to be as quick though the bends is that just sh-t driving or do they struggle in the bends mike?
understeer on the way in fly out of them but poo drivers will always be poo

It just didn't seem to pull away from the ctr I ended up overtaking it.

It seemed to struggle to get out of th corners tbh
he probably wasnt doing it right then. the haldex feels wierd because you have to push through initial understeer to get the arse end working.
trick is to get the front end turned in then nail it. if you take too much speed into the corner it wont save you from understeering out of it

basically slow in fast out

my mates been learning to drive his properly recently. took me round a bend waaay to fast lmao back end stepped out for all of half a second enough to make me think right im going to die in a golf.. haldex kicked in and we shot out the corner. driven properly there pretty good on corners and good fun, but i think similar to a civic hard to get the very most out of one due to needing huge balls

a touch excessive but yeh thats bassically it

That doesn't seem bad at all. I drove one about a year ago when my mate had one, cant remember whether I liked it or not. The sound is Flipping epic though.

How much is a full tank? As I get between 200-250 on a full tank in my ctr!

also, does it cost more to insure?

Insurance group is similar, not sure exactly what, less claims against R32's than there is CTR's though.

I don't pay any insurance so I'm a bit out of touch with the new group ratings.

i would imagine it will cost a lot less. The ep3 is rediculously high on insurance due to the claims on it. My insurance went up coming from a 130i to a an EP3. Didn't make sense to me coming from a 270bhp RWD motor worth 10k to a 3k 197bhp FWD car.

However the R32 was motor of choice as fro getaway cars due to plain looks and 4 doors and 4wd for a while so i would quote first

Not sure, mine was a 55 and was the lower one. Even so, its not that much over a year.

Lol.

One of my friends did something similar when he had a £1500 bill for a new set of tyres, said it was a piss take and sold the car.

Bought a new RR Sport 4 weeks later mind!

Fuel at a record high?

I need access to Kingston's bank account.

Fantastic buy Mike, keep us all updated with any mods etc you do.

Great cars, always turn heads in that colour. Such a planted car to drive aswell, great fun on the back roads. Tunnel runs required!!

LOL at all the running cost questions etc  if you need to ask or worry about fuel/tax/running costs dont buy a sports car. Fuel and Tax can and will always go up an up but enthusiasts will always pay it in order to drive nice cars.

Do they? Pretty nondescript, suspect 99.9% of people wouldn't know an R32 from any other Golf. Always have to check for a badge or twin exhausts myself, certainly don't turn heads.
