theres a flapper in the exhaust that opens at higher rpm (4k i think maybe wrong) makes it louder and free flowing but keeps it quieter at low rpm.
the mod just bodges it so its open all the time

i actually want 1 in mine to give more back pressure at low rpm and make it quiet sometimes but it would cost me alot so i wont

It just didn't seem to pull away from the ctr I ended up overtaking it.

It seemed to struggle to get out of th corners tbh

he probably wasnt doing it right then. the haldex feels wierd because you have to push through initial understeer to get the arse end working.
trick is to get the front end turned in then nail it. if you take too much speed into the corner it wont save you from understeering out of it

I haven't had any under steer yet, it's been wet the whole time too, obviously not going quick enough. In the same corners in my EP3/DC5, the R32 is quicker in the wet, much quicker.

the mk5 is better than the mk4 handling wise
both have alot of grip though so you have to go quick to find out what the handling is like

grip is how fast you can go round corners
handling is what happens when the grip runs out

You just can't beat a 6-pot for versatility in the gears (well, except maybe with an 8 or 12 pot) I still love the way mine will just pull out of a junction in 3rd at about 10mph and not make a fuss about.

You don't get that shuddering or groaning that you get from a 4 pot when you catch it in the wrong gear.
