Hey everyone, hope someone can give me advice with my problem, I've got a 2019 fk8 type r which I've owned for a year and loved every minute of it up until now, I've had the second gear lockout trouble for a week or 2 but now second gear is no more, I've taken the car to my local Honda dealer to look over it and I'm waiting for them to get back to me, is this a common problem ?, I had an ep3 type r about 15 years ago and that suffered with the second gear crunch pretty bad, have honda not fixed the gearbox woes yet ? Is it a big problem ? Any help or advice on this would be great, the car is under warranty until mid April, thanks everyone.

It appears to be quite common. Sounds like your synchros are now gone. It is thought to be a problem with the clutch not fully disengaging quickly enough due to a delay valve in the slave cylinder. I had an EP3 and FN2 with no issues but the two FK8's I've had both had it. This vid shows potential fixes. I'll be doing the delay valve delete soon.
