Funnily enough I literally just watched a 'murican vid from a garage dynoing a customer's new fk8.

Made 281whp.

One thing I'm not clear on though.. this model has a quoted 316bhp (10 over the fk2) yet every US review I've watched says it has 306. Did the UDM get a slightly detuned engine? Did they get the fk2 engine? Seems weird that it's different.

USA has a low octane petrol.

281 at the wheels is about right taking into account the transmission losses.
US fuel isn't lower in octane. It's just rated differently to here.
