Just picked up my black FK2 2015 with only 6000 miles on the clock, absolutely delighted with it coming from the FN2. Just filled her up and tank range said 247 miles. Surely that can't be right? Or is it? So what range are folk getting on a long run???

Considering the fk2 is a performance hot hatch the fuel economy is pretty good. It certainly doesn't like plodding along on the motorway. It has no guts below 3000rpm. I,m averaging over 26mph around town which isn't that bad. The fuel tank isn't really that big thou. By the way, hope you enjoy the black fk2 as I do.

Well thanks for pointing out the obvious, that'll be same with any car. Genius.

Owned for 18 months, range is usually between 260 and 340 miles depending on how much is motorway driving.

Full tank costs £45-50 and most average anything from 260-380mpg not bad at all for a 2ltr 306bhp Turbo. As an example many in the new Focus Rs average 25mpg. The Type R most average 31mpg. To be honest though who cares drive it and enjoy it.
