I have modified my fk2 with the following.
Forge intercooler and hoses.
Remus responder.
Eventuri intake kit.
Forge BOV.
Eibach springs.
On the rolling road it produced 316 hp so to really add some power and sound an exhaust has always been on the wanted list.
I have bought a scorpion downpipe and am going to try to fit the standard system to this pipe..the standard cat is so restrictive i am hoping to release power and sound without it costing too much..has anyone tried this??
I may consider a full remus or milltek system...think milltek now have a sports cat. Again do many owners have these fitted? Any firm favourite? Any power figures after fitting?
Cheers
Rich.
get rid of the bov it does nothing apart from dumping your boost pressure letting your turbo spin down leave it too the honda recirc system fitted as standard keeps the turbo spinning between gears
all warranty on car to do with brakes clutch steering suspension engine and gearbox will be voild as they have to crack the seals on the ecu to reprogram it
my car produces 313bhp just with a pipercross filter and samco airbox pipe
your right the cat downpipe is the restriction on the whole car apart from the air box which you have cured with the eventuri
dreams do a fantastic piece of kit for the down pipe 7" wide but its about £900 (ask for a price as thats roughly what i heard ) cobra also do one 4" wide and a sports cat inside
my best option to you is buy a tdi tuning box
(

£419 for 350 bhp also its removable so come service time everything goes back to normal !! the 350 bhp is quoted on a standard car (306 bhp) so yours might give more
the exhaust will be very expensive for so little increase in BHP unless you want a nosier exhaust which gives the coppers plenty of time to hear you coming and break out the speed gun etc etc (yeah i had one on my G60 for a while it was fun under bridges a blast but the drone on the motorway trust me you'll thank me )
