Like I thought, the Type R struggles to get away but catches up on the RS. I bet it even goes past the RS after 200.

Rolling sprint I also bet the Type R wins, all about the weight difference.

Haha, I knew the Type R would be quicker than the RS in a rolling sprint!

The DC2 isn't ahead of it's time. The DC2 weighs nothing, that's why it can come along so good with current hot hatches. Current cars just weigh to freakin much compared to the older cars. They need the extra power to compensate. The Type R excells in it's weight, if you look at the current market, not many cars that share the same weight as the Type R.

Remap the Type R and you have a little monster. Stock 14 sec from 100-200, remapped sub 9 sec.

I am obviously not comparing it to much more modern cars, but it is all relative.
In 1998 the DC2 was way ahead of its time producing 108 bhp per litre.
Will probably own a FK2 in the future, but it will never gain iconic status as the Teg

FK2 can do 100-200 in 13sec, so in this video CTR and RS are stock, for a sub 9sec u need around 380hp.

The FK2 will remain in type r history as the first civic type r designed for the track and for racing, and obviously the first ctr turbo.
