Slow cooker ideas

I've just recently acquired one of these and the Mrs has been doing her best to poison me with it. Any veterans out there got any good ideas? I do like a good joint (of meat) cooked in there but often struggle with what to chuck in with it. She chucks in sweet potato and parsnips which end up like a weird mush inside a scrotum, so anything that tops that would be superb.

Empty a pot noodle into it and add 500 ml of water leave for 8-10 hours = epic [smilie=karls_thumb.gif]

Good cuts of meat are wasted, use cheaper cuts and they fall apart like teh winrar.

But who was logic?
stick with root vegetables.
Onions
carrots
celery
leeks
Garlic
thyme
rosemary
beef stock
chicken stock
tomato puree
chopped tomatoes
red wine
white wine
sherry vinegar
Pancetta
veg to add at the end:
Mange tou
broccolli
cauli
puy lentils
peas
courgette
romanesco cauli
vagina
butternut squash
parsnips
sweet potato lol
french boynes.
finish with
sherry
brandy
noily prat
Verjus
mustard
anal beads
mint
Trenbolone acetate.

Just bought the best slow cooker book ever. 1000 recipes BOOM! :bigthumb:
Should have been 20 quid, managed to get it for £6.99 from Oswaldtwistle mill.
