The largest Civic Type R club forum

Established in 2002 it brings together people from all over the world to discuss their one love of Type R's.

Have a recipe to share? It doesn't matter if its cheesy beans on toast or Foie Gras, or maybe some cooking tips that could make Heston Blumenthal look like a rank amateur? Then post them in here and let the world know.

This is one of our easy favorites. It's quick and easy. It's even better if you know you have a b*tch of a day ahead and want something fast, tasty and not healthy!

Ingredients
1x Gammon joint
1x 2L Bottle of cider (we use the cheapest we can get, basics/value etc)
2x Carrots
1x Leek
Potatoes
Garden peas
4x Eggs

Method
Place gammon joint in your slow cooker. If it has a net, leave it on. It’ll help you get it out later.
Pour cider over until covered.
Prepare veg and put around the joint.
Turn onto low and go to work.

Come back to an amazing smelling kitchen.
Cook your carbs or choice (chips), poach some eggs and boil a few garden peas.
Pull the gammon and mix with a little of the cooking juice to keep it moist.

Enjoy the best ham, egg and chips ever.

If you use a larger joint than you need it makes a good sammich the next day.

Not critisising in the slightest but i have added a few optional steps to get a little extra out of your recipe.
