The largest Civic Type R club forum

Established in 2002 it brings together people from all over the world to discuss their one love of Type R's.

We all move on at some point, get some help from our members on what to buy next. Usually a monster V8 or second hand Lambo will suffice but usually the three letters M P S will be muttered......standard!

Probably was a lemon, but Christ did it like breaking and breaking down.

I don't tend to spend more than 5k on a car, but I'd be tempted by a 10kish mps as I do like the new shape
is that the one with the urinal shaped scoop on the front grille ?

A lot of us on here went from a CTR to an MPS (inc me) That's why there is so much banter on the forum.

The 2009/2010 mk2's can be picked up for £10k, its a better car than the typical Astra VXR and Focus ST by a long shot. Take a test drive and see for yourself!

The Mk 2 reminds me of Lightning McQueen! Keep expecting a tongue to stick out!

Got both a standard ep3 and a standard new age WRX Wagon. If you can live with 20mpg on average go for the Subaru. It's a great car but very thirsty. You know it's bad when you drive a 3.2 V6 Frontera and remark on how economical it is :)

That aside it's a fun car. The STi varients are even better but prices reflect this. Glad I picked the WRX, it's a daily and a bit softer around the edges so-to-speak.

I sold my Cosmic Premier 3 weeks ago after owning it for 5 years. Have just bought an '05 WRX Wagon and have to say it's very good fun. Softer ride than the ep3 but great round the bends with the AWD. Like has already been said though, it is thirsty, although mine is slightly modified :)
