I don't work for them, but I just got a pair of Federal SS595's in 205/45/R17 W rated for £102 including VAT and postage from http://www.camskill.co.uk. To get the W's though you need to ring them, as they only have V's listed on the website, on 01946 518202 ask for Brian.

Hi, if i have a 55 plate premier edition with the 17" wheels, what tyre size am i going need?

I'm thinking of going for Avons as the place i usually go to get my tyres done are like 'avon specialists'. Im not in desperate need of new tyres yet, as ive only had car 5 weeks, they seem to have the original potenza's on still atm.

Cheers,

Ross.

205/45/17's, just like it says on the sidewall of your current tyres

I have acquired some brand new YOKO 539 205/40. could I fit them to my 05 CTR. If not, why?

yes you can, but your rolling radius will be decreased, so your speedo will read slightly fast

You can but they're the wrong size.

Oh and the small point of A539's are rubbish!

I can comment on the NANKANG's, They were on my CTR when I bought it. One word sums these bad boys up: LETHAL!!! Poor grip in the dry and dangerously slippery in the wet. The only good thing I can say about these is they are VERY hard wearing.

this is probably going to sound stupid, but i am confused. Have you two ordered different tyres or is it the same tyre with slight changes. I was looking at getting some Federals from camskill just want to make sure i get the right ones. cheers.

Its the same tyre, just a different size i believe. The standard tyres are 205/45/R17. I've just had mine fitted today, looking forward to seeing how they hold up!

Liking this thread. Need to get a set for my ctr this month. Looks like the Feds are a good bet. Have a mixture of makes on mine from the previous owner.

Anyone recommend what the pressures should be on the car as I have had mixed advice on this.

Thanks

Thanks.
I've used them. They were ok as a winter tyre however they weren't great when pushing it.

What tyres do you recommend EvoStu?
Im looking for cheaper ones under £100 but as good or better than the Bridgestones.

Phones around but no one seem to have Federals anymore.

Thanks.
