On my 2nd set of Kuhmo Ecsta - have proved themselves to be amply good, and to my mind are better in the wet than the Potenzas.
They grip well, hold cornering well, I trust them, and they last a good time too.
At £68 a corner fitted via Black Circles (you can organize a local fitter from their website), you can use the cash you've saved on more fuel for driving pleasure ;-)

Federal 595 RSR 215/45R17 brilliant in the dry, brilliant on track. Not bad in the wet at all on road or track.
Hard side-wall, so hard I drove 10 miles on a flat without realizing, and didn't even mark the tyre (tyre stem valve split in half).

They also seem to last, done 3 trackdays and 8 months worth of road driving and they still have load of tread left.

Heard really good things about these. Going to get a set all round when my Toyo Proxes are all done. Do you have standard EP3 wheels?

Yes, standard wheels.

One side-note, PLEASE make sure you run them in for 500 miles before you start going for it in the wet or they will spin up.
Mine were like this but after 500 miles the mould release agent should be gone and they grip up.
