Am I going to kill myself in the winter using AD08r's

Hey all,
I use my car solely on the road, I've had everything loads of different brand tyres. RE040, T-1R, Parada spec 2, fk452, pilot exalto 2, conti sport 3 et ...
But i've never really been satisfied with the tire wall stiffness of anything but the bridgestone's. Its a shame i did think they were good enough in the wet.
I know they have the new RE050's which people say are better in wet. I also thought the Michelin pilot sport 2's were pretty good. But I keep reading about a lot of posts praising the AD08R's.
Mileage isnt a problem for me. I only do about 5-6k a year.
Based purely on the grip levels in Wet and Dry conditions in the UK. Which would suit me better?
