Hi guys.

I have £300-£350 to spend on new tyres. I have been told that 215/40/17 are the best size to go for but I'm really struggling to find the best options for this price range......could somebody please help. I have original alloys.

Thank you

You could go for 215 45 17 too mate. What sort of tyres do you want?

I changed mine to 215/45/17. I went for Nokian zLine. £335 approx all in through blackcirles. Improved noise, comfort and handling from what was on before. Seem good in the wet weather we've had recently also.

Should have gone for Bridgestone Potenza REO50a. Would have cost about the same in a 205/45/17. The side wall on the 215/45/17 is hence. Worth keeping it in mind when you next need tyres. They'll handle much better.

Read a load of reviews and decided to go this way. Wanted a more comfortable ride. Difficult to compare tyres unless you jump from car to car.

Yeah hentch damn spell check. The s001 is the new REO50a. Performance and handling for me yeah. There not too harsh either. The 215/45 would also make your gearing longer

Just had to google "hentch". Getting old and not from London is my excuse. I have lots of crappy country roads where I live so horses for courses really.
