So I purchased some new shoes for the EP3.

Size: 17 x 7.5J
Offset: 42

I am looking into which tyres to use, from what I have read it is okay to use 215/45/R17 on the stock OEM wheels which are only 7j wide right? So am I right in assuming I am okay to use 225/45/17 tyres on my new alloys?

Might considering lowering it by 30mm on Eibach springs in the future so hopefully this won't be a problem. Main reason I want a wider tyre is mainly to help avoid curbing if I am honest!

In case anyone is wondering I decided to go for 215/45 tyres :)

Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 - 215/45 R17 91Y XL FP : The XL helps keep the sidewall stiffness while the FP (flange protection) will help protect my alloys which is what I want :)
